Happy Friday Friends!
With the holidays in full swing and New Years fast approaching, we are all trying to cling to some semblance of normalcy. We truly want to enjoy spending time with our families and our friends. We want to go out, we want to do our usual December stuff. We also want (and need) to stay safe. COVID weariness and isolation are wearing on all of us. We are weary in the midst of what’s SUPPOSED to be the season to make merry. Nope, no how, no way- that’s not how this glass half full girl goes about life. I knew I needed some big time help to help me combat the COVID.

Outdoor Dining Picks: Cozy Enough to Visit in December & Winter 2021
One way my friends and I have successfully managed to be together is by safely joining each other at some awesome outdoor dining spots around our area.
So grab your girls, your best friends or your family or your crew and plan some much needed quality time together this December - Obviously with masks and a bit of extra distance between your seats! Below, I’ve included my top 3 favorite spots that feature outdoor dining, heaters to keep cozy and other safety measures to ensure a great experience for all guests.
For nearly four decades, Campbell’s Place has been a go to for Chestnut Hill locals to grab a drink with friends and enjoy an “old world” tavern style meal. With strong ties to local farmers and suppliers, their menu is full of fresh seasonal ingredients and a rotating list of local beers, wines and spirits. Enjoy their self-proclaimed “unpretentious” atmosphere from the safety of their heated tents and #socialdistance on the famous Germantown Avenue in Chestnut Hill!
8337 Germantown Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19118
On the corner of Highland Ave. and Wharton Road, right in the heart of Glenside, sits Bernie’s Restaurant & Bar. The restaurant not only features a unique, extensive menu serving everything from Thai bbq to veggie wings, but it also boasts a massie 15ft fireplace in the center of the space that keeps you cozy even on their open patio. Staying in line with CDC health and safety guidelines, they are offering cozy, safe outdoor dining and keeping their spaces clean for all guests to enjoy.
391 Highland Ave. Jenkintown, Pennsylvania 19046
Over the past decade, Drake’s Tavern in Jenkintown has become the “Master of Burgers” and received praise for their unique menu and massive rotating beer list. They are taking extreme precaution to make their space safe in such an uncertain time. They’ve installed ozone machines throughout the restaurant and are deep cleaning the entire space overnight as well as taking other steps to make their space #covidfriendly. So grab your mask and your best friends and come enjoy a fun, safe night at Drake’s Tavern! Free parking right behind Drake’s on Greenwood Ave is a PLUS.
304 Old York Road, Jenkintown, PA 19046
